Future Services International Limited was recently named the Region 1 Winner in the Women in Business category of the prominent NCB Nation Builder Awards 2011, which saw more applications this year than in any other year.

The annual NCB Nation Builder Awards programme was established by Jamaica’s leading commercial bank to celebrate small and medium-sized businesses which demonstrate outstanding entrepreneurial performance and strong community involvement and impact. NCB also recognizes the work of Jamaica’s community builders and encourages the development of business ideas through these awards.

Awardees are determined not by employees of the bank, but by an esteemed independent panel of judges which thoroughly assesses the applicants’ recent financial performance, strategic direction, product or service innovation and the businesses’ leadership in community development.

Managing Director of FSIL, Yaneek Page, was overjoyed at the company’s selection as an awardee, “this is truly an honour for our company of which we are exceptionally proud. We set out to address a grave societal problem – that of limited access of Jamaicans to the country’s justice system due to a lack of money, resources, information, and so on- and we have made huge strides in our 3 years of operations. Thanks to the diligent and hard working team at Future Services International we have helped hundreds of persons get financial compensation for serious injuries they have suffered. In so doing we have renewed the faith of many in our justice system, and prevented persons from taking justice into their own hands.”

Mrs. Page also lauded NCB for championing entrepreneurship as a key pillar in nation building, noting that “not only are we grateful to NCB for this recognition, but we congratulate them sincerely on their trailblazing and sustained efforts to motivate, inspire and support entrepreneurs in Jamaica.”
